The Dining room was a bit hit and miss! Some nights the service was painfully slow others not so slow. Some nights water was provided stright away others we could be waiting up to 10 minuets. We regularly got served our coffee 10 or 15 minuets before our Dessert arrived. The food was ok lacked potatoes and vegetables. If you wanted a sauce or cheese you had to ask for it and sometimes you could have nearly finnished your meal before it came. The Lido cafe was not self service and sometimes you could be waiting a while before being served and if you wanted food from different parts that could be a problem. The cafe was only open at certain times of the day! There was a burger bar which I highly recomend and also a pizza bar which i also recomend. The drinks station in the cafe was chaotic at times it is badly set out. there is a good choice of drinks.
The entertainment on the World Stage was brilliant they do 3 shows a night so you should be able to find time to go. there are lots of bars with musical entertainment. They do 3/4 quizes a day. Outside there is a basketball court Strange considering the average age! there are also 3 shuffleboard and various keep fit equipment. The jogging track often had puddles on it! The promanade deck did a full circuit but the view was blocked by lifeboats.
Our itinary was excellent. Onboard information was excellent. The room TV was brilliant.
Lovely clean cabin lacks storage space. Very well designed bathroom with a good size shower. I found the bed a bit hard!
It rained! We had an overnight stay in Rome before joining the ship. Rome is an easy place to walk around and we got to see a few of our favorite spots.
WE took the hop on hop off bus. We hopped off at the Capodimonte Art museum Really interesting place and its free! the views are brilliant. when we jumped back on we went to the old town part of Naples. We loved the narrow streets and the interesting shops. We had a pizza in one of the cafes brilliant!
The Ship was unable to dock here because of high winds, An extra sea day!
We walked to the Botanical Gardens very peaceful and loved hearing the birds. We explored the rest of this small town before returning to the ship for a swim!
We walked upto the Cable car(bit of a treck) we then waited for 2+ hours in the sun! the wait was worth it the monkeys were entertaining, one poor man was being stalked by a monkey after his plastic carrier bag! We walked down to St Michaels Caves (25 mins) these are well worth a visit the light effects are stunning. We then walked back up to the top to catch the cable car down again.
Cadiz is a lovely port to explore. We found an interesting church and some other lovely buildings. We followed the lines round the town which made it easy to explore. We walked through some lovely gardens. A Very beautiful place
Loved this place! We found a lovely Morish Palace Very cheap entrance and in a beautiful setting well worth a visit.
This was another interesting port. Some very interesting buildings and museums. I love walking round these relaxed places.
Wow! what an amazing place. It is cheaper to catch the local bus into the center than use the shuttle. After exploring the area where the bus dropped us off we went to the dried up river which has been turned into a park. We had some lunch in a cafe then caught a bus to the Arts and science buildings. These are amazing! After exploring this area it was a lovely afternoon so we walked the 2 to 3 miles back to the ship.
When we got off the ship it was raining! We got the shuttle bus out of the port and walked to the navel museum. This is a really interesting building and has lots of toy boats in it as well as a massive wooden boat, well worth a visit. It stopped raining so we walked up Los Rambles took a side road to a Palace! After lunch we went off to find the piccasso museum but we would not have been able to get in late so left it for the next visit. We wondered down to the prom and wondered along back to the shuttle bus.
