I have sailed on Princess several times and was always pleased with the service, attention to detail. This was my first time traveling north instead of south so being on deck or on our balcony wasn't a possibility. The crew, our steward, Glen, and all the waiters and waitress were always smiling, aiming to please, and they did. I traveled with 2 of my daughters and we were pleasantly surprised at the space of our mini-suite.
I do have one "complaint" to make. I very much wanted a "Love Boat" tee-shirt but the ship wasn't carrying any. There were plenty of photos of the Love Boast crew but nothing with their logo. Gavin McLeod, the captain and spokesperson for Princess is my cousin and grew up in a town very close to me. That was the reason I so wanted a tee-shirt with that logo. It's not a huge mishap but a personal one for me.
Otherwise I love the Princess and hope to sail on one of her ships again.
For 3 people there was plenty of storage space for our clothes and luggage. The bathroom was a good size, the beds were comfortable.
New York was just where we embarked
One of the nicest perks of the cruise was the friendliness of the people. Not just the staff/crew, but the passengers as well. Everyone seemed to smile and say "hi". Our group also shared a table with other folks at dinner and is was always a most pleasant experience. We had signed up for shore excursions with Princess prior to sailing and they were very well planned and executed.
