Got a deal through Flights and Packages for a 2 night stay in Barcelona then onto the ship for an 11 night Med cruise.

Embarcation was the usual scramble when 2000 people are trying to get ion the ship, but they did patrol the line and pulled out people with disabilities/mobility issues and fast track them.

Reading the reviews of other customers and speaking with friends theta have travelled NCL i was expecting a noir too good experience.

Port Reviews

Barcelona

Loads to see and do. Take a few days before the cruise to see it all.

Malta (Valletta)

Did the city bus tour which was about €10 and if you do the ride out to MDeena takes about 3 hours. Stopped of in Valletta which was very nice, clean, good shopping and full of history.

Taormina (Messina)

Went here on a previous cruise. Lots to see but it is a full day.

Athens (Piraeus)

Took the little train into town and had a nice walk round shops and round harbour. All very pleasant. Did Athens on previous cruises.

Santorini

Been here several times. Love it here but its soooooo expensive. Take plenty of money and use the cable car. Not the poor donkeys.

Crete (Heraklion)

Went to Knossos but found it a bit over rated and disappointing. Also about the only tourist thing to see there and it was heaving wit people. Go early to avoid queues and heat.

Katakolon (Olympia)

Again been here on previous cruise. The olympic site is quite interesting. The port has been developed over the past few years and there are now lots of shops ands bars there. Also a nice walk along the beach if you fancy it. Several beach bars on route. Lots of tour operators in the harbour if you don't want to pay the extortionate prices for the ships tours.

Naples

Did the city bus tour. Found a big pedestrianised promenade which was lovely with all the locals and families doing what they do out there and just walk along the front. Had a nice hour or so there. Lots of bars and restaurants to sit at and people watch and enjoy view out to Capri. If you want to do this get off the ship, turn left go past the ferries and walk through a small park. Follow the coast line sea on your left and you will walk straight onto it.
