Impeccable service. Perhaps the best shows in the cruise line. Loved the ice show and the full production show of "Saturday Night Fever". Great food, so many choices on things to do. You can ice skate, rock wall climb, boogie board & surf, ride the giant slides, mini golf--all at no extra fee. Food is always delicious on a cruise ship.
A few drawbacks: the buffet line on deck 11 closes from 4:30p to 6:00pm. Then closes for the night at 9:00 and reopens at 7:00 am. In those times you can get some pizza or little sandwiches on deck 5. We like a snack after the show or a late dessert, so that was a little disappointment that the buffet closes early. Deck 5 promenade is extremely bottle necked at times, especially when there is a show or a sale going on. They put on a disco show in this area which is hard to see unless you join the throng on deck 5. Perhaps that should be moved to the theater.
With the shows so popular and the seats limited in the theater, I hope the cruise line will soon opt to show this simulcast on the room TVs or on the large screen poolside.
the pillows were a little skinny. The shower was good. We liked the bowed door where you can actually turn around in the shower, and water doesn't get on the floor. TV moves so you can watch in bed or while sitting on the couch. Refrigerator in room.
Excellent room steward. They work so hard.
Loved the Caymans. We hired a local guide to take us birdwatching. The city has public restrooms and a drinking fountain near the ship.
Great stop. The locals weren't very aggressive asking us if we wanted a taxi. Beforehand we hired a local bird guide who took us birdwatching. The local in the countryside were friendly. Saw some great birds!
Galveston--This is an easy port to sail out of. I hope the cruise industry will think of sailing out of Houston harbor also.
