A wonderful look at America's heartland on a beautiful steamboat! Food is excellent - the grilled salmon was moist, and the bread pudding with whiskey sauce a real treat! The cabins are clean, and chocolates on one's bedtime pillow is a sweet touch.

The Hop-on, Hop-off busses transport passengers to amazing historic towns and villages. Tours of historic homes and museums, along with access to local businesses, make each stop a desirable destination.

Daily talks by the Riverlorian provide local history and geography; access to a lending library, binoculars, and bicycles provide additional activities. The staff offers top-notch customer service - it is especially helpful that housekeeping, wait staff, and the boat crew are willing to stop and answer questions regarding any aspect of steamboating. Whether socializing on the Front Porch, watching superb talent in the Grand Saloon, or enjoying quiet moments on the deck watching the river and the ever-changing scenery, it's a cruise that creates fun moments and very happy memories. This is my fourth cruise on the American Queen & I wouldn't change a thing!!

Cabin Review

Cabin economy

Clean with sufficient storage. My 6-foot-tall husband found it small but I thought it was fine. I spend little time in the cabin - I'm on a boat and I want to be outdoors!
