I'm going to keep this short and sweet. We had a lovely time aboard the Jewel. This was our 14th cruise and our 6th with Norwegian. Although the Jewel is 11 years old, it has been nicely maintained. Still some areas show their age even after a 2014 refurb.

The food was excellent with a few clunkers here and there but generally speaking everything was wholesome and tasty in all of the complimentary dining areas. (We didn't eat at Chin Chin, we assumed that would be a let down compared to our usual spot at home). Friends whom we were cruising with had recently done a $15k Regent cruise and it appeared that they were more impressed with the food aboard the Jewel.

The outdoor grills were set up for fresh grilling on each sea day by the pool. Our party of 7 were always easily accommodated for seating wherever we went.

Small inside cabin, nothing to shout about. The shower was amazing, the sink was just fine. The toilet however was situated on a slant which made things a bit difficult especially if you're tall like us. Barely enough room for the knees.
