Cabin: Family Balcony Stateroom

As we prepare to cruise thru the Caribbean with the Norwegian Escape, we had high expectations from reading all the buzz about the biggest ship in the Norwegian line.

The checking in was smooth but the cabins were not ready therefore there was a good 3 hours waiting time. We had a cabin with balcony. The cabin was small (not at all as pictured on their website). It was well distributed but definitely small.

The room although had fresh linens etc was not well cleaned. The carpet had not been vacuumed (or it did not feel or look like it was) and we actually found garbage pieces from the previous guests. So definitely the attention to detail was lacking. During the daily room make-up sometimes garbage was not collected or items that were needed daily were not provided so basically everyday we have to contact our room attendant for one thing or another.
