This was our second time on the Getaway. We enjoy the free unstructured dinner times and more casual dress at NCL. My husband and I found the food to be delicious. Much better than our first cruise. The food at the Specialty Restaurants was excellent. Our server at Cagney's was professional and very pleasant. Trying to accommodate 4,000 guests is not easy but the service is overall very good. If you are looking for one to one service then pay high price for a small cruise line or get a cabin with a butler. The entertainment is very good. A Jamaican band whose singer could easily be on The Voice. Latin music and dance classes. We were up till very late! Our mid-ship mini suite was clean and comfortable. The free drink package made things easy. Great choice of Mojitos etc. The only negative on this ship is the size of the pool. Very very small for a ship this size. So we did not use it. Unless you want to be in a pool with 500 people inside and around the tiny pool I suggest you do the slides to keep cool. Also the first cruise day there are not enough bartenders or servers on the pool deck. No one coming around and asking if you want a drink. I guess it's because they are no longer getting gratuities based on how many drinks they sell. My friend used the spa and she said it was very nice. Of course you pay an extra fee to use it. Overall great ship, fantastic food and good service. NCL needs to re-do their pool areas for the Caribbean cruises. Will cruise again on NCL.
