My husband and I chose this cruise because as a Multiple Sclerosis sufferer I cannot cope with the intense heat during the Summer. Having sailed with P&O previously we knew that they catered well for the disabled. I was not disappointed, our accessible stateroom was both functional and attractive. The ensuite, was a wet room with plenty of handrails. I asked our cabin Stuart if he could find me a perching stool that I could use when at the wash up. This he acquired in a very short time. The balcony was also easily accessible to me on my mobility scooter.
We had decided to take the Freedom Dinning option because we felt that this gave us more freedom when to eat. We also liked the fact that we sat with different people every evening. In 17 nights we only sat with the same people twice and that was on the same evening. Our preferd table size was 6, because it is easier to hold a conversation which includes all. Although we did sometimes sit on a table for 8 which tended to slip into 2 conversations of 4's. The food and menu selection was as usual excellent. The diet must begin now We've returned home!
The entertainment during the week was very good consisting of The Headliners, who put on 4 different shows. The comedian Tom O'Connor who was very entertaining. A superb guitarist called Byron Johnston and a group called the Beatles Experience, who were excellent. These are only some of the artists that were on the cruise.
