Apologies for the late posting – this got buried in my misc file and has only come to light having had a grand de clog of the computer!
Having recently returned for a 7 night cruise 7-14th May on the Emerald Princess I felt a review coming on!
I've never cruised with Princess before I went with an open mind ! Taking with me for her first ever cruise, my younger disabled sister.
Absolutely fine size wise, I liked the no doors on the wardrobe , plenty of hangers and the safe was at a sensible height.
Room felt a little tired however .
Amused to see the loveboat episodes on a loop every day.
Have visited twice before - its a lovely port you moor right by the town.
Lots of trips you can do - under your own steam , or by using public transport.
Or simply walking - map/ guide they give is very helpful .
BK on the front if you want free wifi
We opted for the 15 euro Hercules Tour - which I think if you pre book is even cheaper,
seemed a long transfer in,
we just mooched around for a couple of hours.
If I was a modern art buff I'd have been in my element .
Wasn't actually Bordeaux - but Le Verdon - a container port .
Bordeaux was a good 2hr trip away
We simply took the shuttle to the local frend seaside town and had a meander.
Have visited lots of times by various means ,
Its a nice place ,
it was simply our starting port , not somewhere I've ever taken the time to visit as such - other than to board a cruise ship !
