Cabin: Mid-Ship Balcony Stateroom

We went to Bermuda, about 4 years ago, with my daughter and her husbands family. It was on RCCL and we only had part of a day there. We took the grand kids to the zoo and a quick walk around Hamilton. I loved the island and the people we came in contact with. It was on my bucket list to go back for a few days, whether via sea or air.

When I saw the deal on Norwegian with the drink and dining package, and the casual dining aspect, I couldn't resist.

We had cabin 10258, on the port side. Only an elevator ride to the restaurants and casino. The cabin, itself, wasn't much different than other cruise cabins we've used, though the balcony seemed to be more shallow. The bath was nice and roomy. I use a CPAP machine and they had extension cords in the drawer under the sofa. (still wish ships would put in a plug on the bed wall). Our room steward, Ronald, was awesome. Always friendly and made sure we were happy with our room.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BB

Cabin size wasn't much different tnay previous cruise ships we had been on. The balcony seemed tight. Didn't extend out as much as others. Being 6'3" my knees were almost touching the rail. That being said, I usually just stand, when I'm out there. Bath was very nice and seemed roomier than most. Closet space was doable. Hangers on one side, shelves and safe on the other. Storage all along the vanity/desk area. Only drawer storage was under the sofa. They were had to pull out.

I use a CPAP machine for my sleep apnea, and I'm always looking for plugs. There are none on the bed side, so you have to use an extension cord from the vanity wall (only 2 plugs there) NCL did provide a heavy dutiy cord (in the drawers under the sofa). I carry my own too, but used theirs. All in all, I'd take this cabin again. Was midship, but towards the aft end. A short walk to the elevators which took us to most of our restaurants.

Port Reviews

New York (Manhattan)

We stayed in Times Square the night before the cruise and two nights after. We did take a bus tour (Gray Line All Around Tour) and had a 2 day pass. We got off at the 9-1-1 Memorial and spent a few hours there, (A must see). Most of the time, we walked around the Times Square/Theatre District.
