This was my second cruise, my friend's 30th and my son's first. Needless to say, we were extremely dissapointed. We had priority boarding and that line was non-existent. We had to go around the crowds of people to get to the front. We paid for a Suite that was a nice size but it was completely filthy. It was not set up the way we wanted. There was dust everywhere and the rug was dirty. When we called and complained, our steward came and told us he was "only human". The ship is old and rusty. It needs to be retired.

The buffet was not very good and when we had dinner at the dining room, we had to wait over an hour just to get our appetizer. The waiters we had were trainees. The food portions were extremely small and we had to order an additional entree just to get enough food.

The entertainment was really bad. Mostly having Karaoke in the main lounge. There was only one Entertainer (a comedian by the name of Anthony from NY) who was good. It was the only entertainment that was decent where it was so crowded, it was standing room only.

Grand Turk

We didn't take an excursion but just hung out at the beach. It was beautiful.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata)

We took the 7 hour VIP Catamaran and it was great! There is a 1 1/2 hour bus ride to a beach to pick up the catamaran. From there, they stopped at a small island for snorkeling. Then they took us to another Island where we could snorkel, swim or just hang out at the beach. They also gave us a great lunch. Overall, a good tour for the money.
