Friends were going on this cruise and wanted us along for our 25th Anniversary. This was our 6th cruise with RC and we were disappointed in many respects as well as expensive. The balcony suite was roomy enough and the flat screen was nice as was the bathroom but the bed was HARD!!! As Crown & Anchor members you expect special treatment as the amount of times you cruise with RC increases. There were NONE! Our dear friends had the room decorated which they had paid for which was nice of them but RC did little. The room was kept clean and the usual towel creatures were cute but the pace of the cruise was to cram a 7 day into 5 days and that was not relaxing. It was like pulling teeth to get us all together for dinner but it was finally arranged and the dinners at different venues each evening instead of going to one grand dining room was disappointing. the food was good but the choices were limited to 2 and often seemed the same each night with only the flip of a menu. The Windjammer was fab as always. We loved the breakfasts each morning and one evening there was a cupcake extravaganza that was amazing. The final day at lunch they made a cake that was out of this world good!

The entertainment was different. I'm not a Queen fan so enough said there. Some of our friends are not Journey fans we however thought the guy was a shoe in for Steve Perry and did a great show. The stage performances were strange. We walked out of one.

There is no sports bar and the little bar they have was not even worthy of mention with such a tiny TV. The shopping along the small area was very over priced and on the sale day the stuff was inferior. My husband got a $10 watch and it stopped working before the cruise even ended! Enough said there.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E1

The balcony suite was roomy enough and the flat screen was nice as was the bathroom but the bed was HARD!!! As Crown & Anchor members you expect special treatment as the amount of times you cruise with RC increases. There were NONE! Sofa HARD as well. Is a nice jack to charge cell phone but you must pay $7.95 per phone to be connect their Royal IQ which is a joke very slow compared to regular cell service these days!

Port Reviews

Bayonne (Cape Liberty)

It took forever to get on this ship. The line to get into this port in your vehicle which we took a service up there from Baltimore was an almost and hour wait in that vehicle and after driving 2 1/2 hours we were tired of sitting in that vehicle and anxious to board and eat lunch...
