Choosing an Avalon cruise was really pretty easy after speaking to other people about river cruising and the recommendation of our travel agent. We chose the Rhine River Cruise aboard the Tranquility II in late September early October. The ship and the cabins were everything they were advertised to be. The food on board was excellent and we were amazed that they were able to create such wonderful meals in the small galley they have. The staff on board was great starting with Robert our Cruise Director. The rest of the crew performed various duties quietly but superbly. All shore excursions were excellent in each port we visited. The rooms on board were spacious and well laid out. We enjoyed the fact that there was no assigned seating for meals which enabled us to meet many of our shipmates from various other countries. So to summarize we will definitely be recommending Avalon Waterway River Cruises to anyone who will listen. Definitely will be traveling with them again!!
