This was a Anniversary get-away (also combining our birthdays) as well as a first time cruise with dear friends. We love the Sunshine, and especially the Alchemy bar and all the food options from JiJis to Sushi to Steakhouse. We have cruised between us closed to 20 times, and still learn something each cruise. On this cruise we learned:

1)Carnival honors Anniversary's nicely these days: we got a small heart dessert and a song the first night in the MDR, as well as a complimentary dinner at either JiJis or Cucinia (delivered 2nd afternoon), as well as $50 off spa and free photo coupon.

2) We ate at JiJi's for the second time and still enjoyed it immensely - 4 plus people is great because you get a variety of dishes family style.

Balcony

Cabin 8B

We love this L shaped balcony. It has a love seat instead of a couch and the bed faces out toward the balcony. The bathroom is shoved in a corner - which is personally preferable as opposed to being near the door and closets.

Port Reviews

Saint John (New Brunswick)

Renting a car and driving to Saint Andrew's was an excellent call. The leaves were in full color once out of the city and the town is charming and the gardens lovely.

New York (Manhattan)

Driving in and parking is a nightmare. We waited 15 minutes just to turn into the parking. Parking by the ship is literally just that and it is VERY EASY to get to the ship - better than any other port. But parking is limited...quite limited.
