The Panama Canal was the highlight of the tour. Other than that, everything was average. The food was the same every day....boring and mundane. The onshore excursions offered by NCL were pricey and not interesting.

The worst part is the embarkation, which seems to take forever...as compare to some recent cruises that we took. And to top this off, we were told that the Pearl is one of the smaller boat with 2300 passengers; other NCL boats may exceed 4000 passengers...not what we are looking for.

Free style dining may be suited for others, but we were used to set time dining and meeting people to talk about our experience and their experience. The waiters and other servers were nice, but the boring food kind of destroy this atmosphere. Even with extra cost for lobster was not what we expected. It was not even close to the type and cost of the same food we get at home.
