Sail Date: Oct 2016
Cabin: Ocean View Stateroom

We decided to take a short cruise to just get away for a few days. We had sailed on the Rhapsody the previous year and were very happy with the ship. I had thought that this ship would be the same. It is much smaller. The ship was in good condition and the crew was incredible. But, there was not place to get away from the noise and the luke warm tubs seemed to be full of children playing.

We booked an ocean view cabin and were very surprised how small it was. Take seriously everyone's warnings on cabin size. The bed took up the entire width of the cabin save about a foot. My wife had to climb off the end of the bed to get in or out. There is essentially one set of elevators that go the entire height of the ship. Seemed to be too few for 2000 passengers.

Embarkation was probably the smoothest I have encountered out of the US. Royal has this down to a science. Everyone nice and helpful. We stayed the night before at a local hotel and took the shuttle from the airport to the ship thru Royal. I highly recommend this approach.
