Cabin: Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Embarkation was fast and easy. We arrived early and got on board around noon. Be advised that the rooms are not available until 100PM or later on the 1st day. We had a standard balcony cabin on Deck 7, Cabin 7568 - Category D8 - Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony. Cabin is small and balcony is small in my opinion. Bathroom is small but very functional. Ship is of course huge and takes a few days to figure out how to get around. Royal Promenade is large and impressive. Central Park is pretty but can be warm. Didn't like that views of the ocean are hard to come by in most public areas. Rising Tides bar is fun as it elevates from the Royal Promenade to Central Park every 30 minutes or so. Main dining is average - sometimes good, sometimes bad, usually just ok. Ordering the premium selections from the Main dining menu was very good or better for a surcharge. Specialty dining was expensive but excellent: Sabor was very good - Chops was great - Itzumi was excellent. Staff were excellent everywhere. Cabin steward was great - waiter was great - assistant waiter was great - most bar service staff were great - cruise director staff were great. Windjammer restaurant buffet was crowded and hard to get around in most of the time. Food was adequate but boring. High-speed internet was about $300/week for 3 devices. Unlimited alcohol package is about $350/week. Casino is big but lots of smoke. Pools and Jacuzzis tended to be crowded but usable. Overall a good trip.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D2

Small cabin with small balcony and small bathroom. Has a forward location near the elevators. Right about the main theater. Dining is at the back of the ship.
