the sun princess was clean and tidy and generally the service was good, library and games room are good to have on board as you can borrow books and don't have to take too many on board with you. in a couple of the bars we found the service a bit slow and we would sometimes have to go to the bar to order our own drinks. Happy hour was between 3pm and 4pm which we found a bit early, surely 4 till 5 would have been better, especially if you have been on shore most of the day. cabins were well maintained and dining room service was great. good to have a laundry onboard. new zealand was amazing and we enjoyed all the ports we visited, there was generally quite a bit to see and do in the ports. even though it rained in a couple of them, it didn't deter. cruising through the milford sound was amazing.
perhaps a little small but kept very clean and tidy,
we explored sydney on our own, easy city to get around with good public transport.
we took a trip on the taierie railway on our own, caught shuttle into dunedin and went to rail station and bought our own ticket, much cheaper than the ship excursion
tender boat required and day was spoilt a bit because it rained most of the day. pretty little township though
took the cable car to the top and walked back into town through the botanic gardens
went into napier centre and wandered along foreshore and through the town
mt. manganui was where the ship docked and it was a beautiful place, buskers all through the main street and all the shops were opened even though it was sunday. lovely place to visit
wandered around the main area of auckland, no tours as we have visited before
