We embarked surprisingly easily. That was because we traveled with my wife's brother and his wife. They are diamond club members, so basically from cab to ship took about 30 minutes. VERY NICE. Both of us had the same type cabin. Balcony overlooking the Boardwalk. They have been on Oasis three times. This was our first. This was my third cruise. First was Liberty and the second was Carnival Victory. My wife was on many Carnival cruises and i believe this was her third RC. So thats my background.
Lets start with the good. The ship is huge. As big as it is, it is well maintained. While we were on board, there were numerous times i saw maintenance guys working on things.
Its a beautiful ship. The staff is very friendly. Our steward was great. Very friendly and did a good job. Our waiter for most of the nights(I'll explain in a few) and support staff were good too. Always knew what we wanted.
The cabins were nice and clean, but they are also showing their age.
