Having never cruised before unsure what to expect but from the staff at EMA to embarking the ship in Palma could not have wished for more. Having boarded we certainly were not expecting the simplicity and quality we received. We were shown to our fantastic cabin and within 20 minutes our cases arrived, then the friendly face of Akash appeared and he ensured our cabin was spotless throughout our stay and from this moment on nothing was to much trouble. We have never seen staff work so hard from cabin crew to waiters, entertainers and all the back room staff you don't always see they were all amazing and so polite. Although the Island restaurant was always busy there were so many other options Surf and Turf amazing but please book early ( the singing of Alvin and the service was superb) Staff in 47 were top notch especially Igorec and Kirean and the bar staff were always way above anything ever experienced. We would recommend all the evening shows as the entertainment team were so fantastic & professional and encouraged all to join in, it was also so nice to see the TUI has got talent show where you could experience the singing/dancing of you onboard crew some will defiantly surprise you( pocket dynamo Hazel and Robert Quartermaster) only been back on land for 18 hours but already looking to book for May next year. Well done to everyone onboard TUI Discovery - Thomson you should be so proud of all of your staff that work on this cruise ship
