Cabin: The Haven 2-bedroom Family Villa with Balcony

We wanted a quick getaway to a warmer climate. This is our third NCL cruise and first time on the Breakaway. Though we started the reservation with a balcony room, we were able to upsell to the Haven 2-Bedroom suite. The Haven experience is exceptional and it will be hard to cruise any other way in the future.

We flew from upstate NY to Miami on the day of embarkation. NCL provided transportation from the airport to the port. Our bags were left with attendants at the airport and delivered safely to our cabin shortly after lunch.

The only planned excursion for us was the Twice as Nice Catamaran and Snorkeling. It was easy to meet up with the group, the catamaran crew was entertaining and was fun to swim with sea turtles.

Cabin Review

The Haven 2-bedroom Family Villa with Balcony

Cabin H4

The cabin includes a living room with convertible sofa, table, chairs, television, coffee bar, and mini fridge. The smaller bedroom has its own bathroom (full with standup shower), closet, tv,convertible double sofa bed, and bunk bed. The main bedroom has 2 closets, shelving, tv, king bed, and bathroom with double sinks, large bathtub, and standup shower.

There is ample room to relax - we have stayed in this same room with 5 people and did not feel squished.

Port Reviews

Tortola

We met up with a another couple from our ship and took a taxi to Brewers Bay. The taxi driver was very nice and skilled on those mountainous roads! We were able to take pictures of the scenery from the higher peaks as we crossed the island. It took about 25 minutes to reach the beach.

At the beach we rented some chairs for $5 each and there were some trees to sit under if desired. There was a small restaurant/bar and a single restroom available. The weather was beautiful but still very windy so we were not allowed to snorkel that day, but we played in the waves for hours! Even when more people arrived, the beach was not overcrowded. A pleasant afternoon!

Nassau

Nassau was incredibly crowded. We walked a couple blocks to Junka noo beach. We rented chairs and umbrella and the water was nice. However, the beach was packed shoulder to shoulder.
