This is a huge ship. Lots of technology--including staterooms with t.v. that you can make reservations on. Almost everything needs a reservation--complimentary restaurants and entertainment shows, so if you're not technology savvy, you can still do it in person. Bar drinks (pina colada, margaritas, etc) are $16.25 each--not cheap. The robotic bar drinks are $12.00, and no tip charge, because they're robots. We didn't particularly like rotating restaurants; we still like the designated diningroom experience. We only ate at The Grande, and Silk; the rest of the time, we ate up in the Windjammer which served excellent variety of food. Excursions in Bermuda were limited and expensive so we just shopped in the main square just a short walk from the ship. The shows 'We Will Rock You' and 'Spectra's Cabaret' were very well done. Some may find We Will Rock You a little 'slow' at times but overall, very good. Spectra's Cabaret will be a little 'out there' to the older crowd, but very well done. The wait staff were very friendly and when you treat people with 'respect', they respond with a gracious attitude. Treat people the way you would want to be treated if you were in their position.
The oceanview and bathroom is a bit bigger than we've had on Carnival ships. The shower is 'closed in' glass shower, which is nicer than a 'curtain'. We stayed on the 3rd floor which we found very handy on a big ship like this when it came to getting an elevator. By the time it got to our floor, it was empty. And we were only 1 floor away from the big theatre and shops, so we could just use the stairs.
Shops are nice. Tee-shirts between $16.00 and $20.00 each. Sweatshirts $30.00 in most shops. Lots of local artwork.
Location of port easy to get to, easy to park.
