Have been on many cruises but this is my first review on Cruise Critic. Chose the Epic as there would be plenty to do on board if the weather was not that good. For this reason it turned out to be a good choice.
The highlight for us was the entertainment on board. We say Burn the Floor twice, and in the words of Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman, 'it was so good I nearly peed my pants'!! We also saw Priscilla Queen of the Desert and the Beatles tribute band as headline shows both were excellent. We also went to the Cirque dinner show, premium seats which was great to be so close to the action. The meal was ok not great for Cirque.
Food on board was generally good to excellent. We ate in a different restaurant every night apart from a couple of minor issues. There was an excellent selection of well cooked food in the buffet for breakfast and lunch and we always managed to find a seat within in a minute even at the busiest times. Bearing in mind the number of people on board we were especially impressed with the service in this area.
We had a balcony cabin 9129 midship, as other people may have said the bathroom layout is unconventional with the separate, toilet and shower straight off the bedroom and I didn't like the sink, not because it was in the actual cabin but because it was impossible to put more tClearly designed by a man!! han an inch or so of water in it before it went into the overflow an the bowl was too small. There was plenty of storage space for the two of us and would have been fine for three. Tea and coffee making facilties in the cabin
