I am adding my comments to the other similar comments I am seeing here. A group of us from work decided, a year ago, to take this cruise to Bermuda on the Breakaway. We had issues with the travel agent from the get go. We finally board on 10/9/16 in anticipation of fun in Bermuda. The ship remained in port until Monday morning. Only then were we informed we were not going to Bermuda due to the weather. Many of us felt the cruise line knew we were not going to our chosen destination well in advance of our boarding. One of our party left his passport in his checked luggage. As a result, he could not board. Naturally, he was upset, but the terminal staff assured him he had plenty of time for his brother to retrieve his passport from his bag and bring it to him. He was told the ship wasn't going anywhere and oh by the way...not to Bermuda.

We ended up in disappointing Port Canaveral, on a rainy day. The gangplank was not operating properly so we couldn't even get off right away. When we did, there was nothing to do. Those that went on excursions paid a lot of money for very little time in Disney, orr spent a rainy day at Cocoa Beach. We paid for Bermuda, not Florida. The cruise line offers a cruise to this area for far less than what we paid. The compensation was $200 per stateroom...hardly anything...especially for those who were packed 4 to a very small stateroom.

After this, we went to Nassau, arriving at 3 PM. We were given information on excursions. I don't know why. There was no time to do any of them. In fact, the locals didn't know we were coming! And they had only just gotten their power back. The beach was torn up by the storm and the waves made swimming impossible.

Mid-Ship Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BB

It was clean, comfortable but smaller than I expected. There was an issue with the shower drain. No matter how briefly we were in it, the water overflowed into the bathroom. Our attendant did not give us candies as others in our party received. Nor did she explain anything to us. We rarely saw her. She did fix our room twice a day though.

Port Reviews

New York (Manhattan)

Freezing rain. This was where we boarded and ended up camping here for the night, so we had to pay port taxes on everything while we waited to sail.

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

Nothing to do here and the weather was lousy. Glad I didn't take the bus to Cocoa Beach. Glad I didn't spend $250 for Disney. That was a 45 minute ride, long lines, I'm sure, and not enough time to see that entire theme park. Those who went barely made it back on time! We watched them running to make it back to the ship.
