we choose this cruise based on the reviews of friends and family who have first hand experience with carnival fantasy. We didn't regret our decision. The overall experience was good. The entertainment on the cruise was very nice, one of the nights was motor city themed and the dancers were very good and energetic and got the crowd going. There was also a stand up comedian the last night and he was hilarious, even while remaining family oriented. The first day i got seasick and called room service and they gave me some tips for food that would help and also brought me some seasick pills very quickly. The food was good, the only thing i did not like were the drinks. The ice tea tasted horrible, it had almost no taste and the lemonade was way too sour. We went dining with our family one evening and the waiter was very nice, his name was Obinna. He was very friendly and made sure we had everything we wanted and he gave us suggestions about dessert (which he pronounced as 'desert', funny). What i liked most was that the staff sang to everyone whose birthday it was. We were not served by one waiter only, we had multiple and this we found nice. One would take our order and check in with us (obinna) and others would bring the food. As we have certain dietary restrictions we had some questions about the food which the staff answered directly. The waiter neon and assistant prudence cleared a lot of stuff up for us. These guys definitely made our stay a super great experience. The guy at the staff named myron was also great. These guys stay at sea for months and still manage to stay super friendly.
