We have been so anxious and excited to finally sail on Allure of the Seas. We had heard a lot of great things about it and I read quite a few reviews on this and well my summary is a cruise is what you make of it, and if you are nice to people, they will be nice back to you. So, Allure of the Seas was a beautiful, massive ship! We have been on the freedom class and voyager class before this and we just enjoyed walking all over the Allure checking out everything the ship had to offer. We didn't get to do everything in one week, because there is just so much to do! Every part of the ship that we went to was always clean, and the staff was always so very friendly and said hi to us anytime we walked by them. And, for 6,000 people being on the ship, we couldn't even notice except during the Muster drill. But, that's the only time we ever experienced lots of crowds.
We flew into Miami on Sunday morning (October 9th) and took an Uber to Port Everglades, we got to the port around 11:30 and it only took us less than 30 minutes to get on the ship, thanks to Platinum status :) It's the easiest port that we have been too yet to get on a ship. Once we got on the ship, we found out that our itinerary had changed due to Hurricane Matthew spinning back around and running into Hurricane Nicole. We were supposed to go to Nassau, St. Maarten and St. Thomas and instead we went to St. Maarten, Puerto Rico and Labadee, Haiti! We were excited about this as we have been wanting to see all three of these ports and I've been dying to zipline in Labadee. Good call from the Captain for getting us out of bad weather, we had perfect weather the whole trip! It was awesome!
