Cabin: Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

We first started our vacation in Fort Lauderdale at The Pelican Grand Hotel and we loved everything about it. The following day, we boarded the Allure of the Seas and embarkation went fast and smooth. We entered on Deck 5 and were amazed at the venues and everything the ship had to offer. Our room as already ready. We had a ocean view balcony room which was beautiful and spacious. The service was exceptional, everyone was helpful and nice. The only downfall was that we had to change our itinerary due to Hurricane Matthew. One of our port stops was Saint Thomas which was replaced by Labadee... An island leased by Royal Caribbean. I do believe we could have stopped to Saint Thomas as did most of the people on the ship but RC could make more money on their island.

We ended our stay at the Mint which was ok, nice and clean but nothing compared to the Pelican Grand. We did do a tour on the Jungle Queen for 90 minutes. It was entertaining and relaxing.

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D6

Clean and spacious... King size bed, very comfortable. Had a couch and desk. Loved the balcony !

Port Reviews

St. Maarten

We did our own tour of both the French and the Dutch side

Labadee

Was nice but a money manking gimmick

Giovani's restaurant was 3 course meal and was delicious. Watched a couple of the shows... Tribute to Journey and the Ice Show as well as the Comedy show. RC can really put on great entertainment. We also did a few of the 80's trivia and karaoke. They are all well worth seeing. The Dining was at 6pm and the meal was changed every night so we had plenty of choices. The spa was fantastic. We had a couples message... me with the hot stones and my husband with the bamboo. I also tried a "sampler" message where for $89 you could get to sample a bit of everything.. facial, neck message, scalp, foot, etc.
