I cruised on the Carnival Dream. I chose this cruise because I wanted to take my sister and niece on the vacation of a lifetime and I had taken my first cruise in April of 2016 from New Orleans on the Dream. The first two days of the cruise we felt like we were on a carnival ride, not a carnival cruise. My sister was very ill. Realizing that the ocean can be unpredictable, I let that slide.

The food was pretty good, but some of our dishes were served cool, not hot and did not taste all that good such as a shrimp dish in marinara sauce. However, we had awesome soups and the Oysters Rockefeller were the best!

There was constant music blaring at all hours which really detracted from our trip. I wish they would cut off the music at 1 or 2 am at least. Also of note, we had a very rude waiter one evening who got testy when I asked for my drink to be brought to me after I looked at it sitting across the room from me for 10 minutes.

Cabin 8E

The cabin was spacious, the balcony was amazing. Two of the beds were ok, the the third "bed" was actually a small, hard plastic couch we called the "torture chamber" and took turns enduring it. The storage and closet room is surprisingly ample. The bathroom was plenty big for all three of us and the shower was hot!!! Our steward took excellent care of us.
