Review of Norwegian Star cruise September 2016

We just returned from a 23 day cruise on the Norwegian Star, travelling east from Copenhagen to St Petersburg and back and west to Iceland and back. The ports of call were interesting on both legs, which is why we chose this cruise. And the excursions arranged through our Cruise Critic friends were all excellent, reasonably priced, and with friendly, outgoing people. For the most part, the cruise and our fellow cruisers were great.

After this cruise, we will be platinum Latitudes members, so we've been on a number of Norwegian cruises, the most recent being last November (less than a year ago). And after this last cruise, it may be our last. And it is not because of the on-board crew, who were all diligent, hard working, and extremely friendly, with a fantastic captain. We believe the problem areas stem from head office policies - something I also heard from many other travellers.
