I'd like to start by saying the cruise and the ship were not all bad, in fact it's a beautiful ship and even the inside rooms are well laid out and comfortable. I'm tall and I found the showers to be a comfortable size (for a ship). The food is well worthy of a quality cruise as is the availability of it. I wouldn't call the food fantastic but it is very good and it's prepared and presented well. Entertainment on the ship is plentiful and fair to good. I don't necessarily agree with the cruise critic that NCL has the best entertainment, but it's right up there with the best of them. There's plenty to do on board for all ages along with plenty of ways to spend your money through the many add on services and dining options, but that's where the joy of the cruise stops and the negative aspects begin to ruin the experience.

Customer service (agents) on the Escape are nothing short of atrocious. I've sailed more than 50 cruises over 30 years and this is absolutely the worst I've ever encountered. They're poorly trained, unconcerned, largely unprofessional and borderline rude. In my opinion, hey do not represent the brand well AT ALL.

I'll start with my purchase on line. The best way to describe it is "bait and switch". Their website offers one thing, but the ordering system apparently doesn't know what the website is offering. When you show the customer service the offering on their website, they refer to the order in the system (which apparently does not contain the information from the website where it's clearly advertised). They could care less... and they're not even kind about it.

Cabin Review

Inside Stateroom

Forward inside cabin.

Positive: Very nice. Clean, modern and fairly spacious considering.

Negative: Noisy. Walls move when neighbor door closes. Bow thruster will wake the dead.
