The ship is beautiful however it's so large as to be unmanageable. Too many people, too many lines for everything, for breakfast on the first day we had to wait 20 minutes to get a table. There are too few staff and they are overworked.
On Sunday afternoon when boarding was compete the Captain announced that due to the hurricane aiming directly at Bermuda, we were not going to Bermuda. We were going to remain in NYC for the night and hopefully a decision would be reached as to our destination (s). Note, passengers were never given the opportunity to re-schedule their vacation. Later the evening we were told that the line had decided that Port Canaveral Florida and Nassau, Bahamas were suitable alternatives to Bermuda and the line would compensate us with a two hundred dollar on board credit per stateroom. Still no mention of changing OUR plans by rescheduling.
Bermuda is significantly more expensive than the Bahamas Itinerary because of higher port charges, When last I looked the Bahamas trips were going for $899.00 Per person in the mini-suite class. It’s my feeling the line should have re-imbursed us the difference since we were now on the Bahama’s loop.
Excellent Cabin Cabin Steward Gerland was a gem in when we were out and Out when we were in...
