We had sailed twice before with Windstar in the Caribbean on the sailing ships and their laidback, intimate style suited us. We chose this cruise for the itinerary.
It was excellent in every respect. An example: there was a problem with the IT on embarkation, and after about ten minutes we were just told to not worry, go and have lunch and we will be told when it's sorted. We were given access to our cabins to drop bags, which were locked being us. Just a small example of how quickly problems are sorted on a small ship.
The service, food and crew were outstanding. Very personal service. Bar staff quickly know your name and your favourite drink. Cabins were spacious and very comfortable. The officers were very visible and friendly. The captain was around the ship every evening chatting to guests.
Very spacious. A nice seating area. Comfortable bed and good bathroom with shower over bath which meant plenty of room in the shower.
Dressing room was great for extra storage for suitcases etc.
Great sailaway
Wet weather probably influenced our experience. The old town was filled with souvenir shops. Visited the cathedral which was nice.
Walked the city walls which was a great experience and worth the cost. Amazing views from the city walls of the city and the sea.
Very scenic and historic
