On the ship we were immediately impressed by friendly, helpful staff throughout. Karen, our stateroom steward was excellent, paying the finest attention to overall room appearance, and our needs. Our stateroom was everything we had hoped for an extremely comfortable deluxe king-size bed, safe, espresso coffee maker, mini-refrigerator with bottled water, soda, and snacks, all replenished daily. Personal grooming bathroom supplies were also replenished daily.

Cruising Lysefjord, it's name means "light fjord" is to see incredible beauty around every turn, with a view of Pulpit Rock.

Our tour to Tivoli Garden took us past Christiansborg and Amalienborg Palaces, Nyhavn canal district, and The Little Mermaid statue. Tivoli spelled backwards is
I lov it...and I did love the world's second oldest amusement park.

After a 3 hour escorted train ride from the port to city we saw the major sights of Berlin. Included were stops at the Berlin Wall, past Nikolai Quarter & Red City Hall of Schoneberg, stop at Checkpoint Charlie, the Allied Museum, Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag German Parliament, returning to the ship by train.

A panoramic driving tour and two hour walking tour of Old Town allows for a good overview of this very clean, charming city. Along the way you pass the Song Festival Grounds, 16th century convent ruins, and churches St. Alexander Nevsky, St. Mary's Cathedral. and Church of the Holy Spirit.

Day 1-Palaces & Villas of St. Petersburg was absolutely stunning in beauty and opulence; touring Peter the Great's wooden palace Streina, Alexandria Park, the Cottage Palace, summer residence of Nicholas l, and tour the Lower Park, famous for its fountains and sculptures.
Day 2- St. Petersburg Canal Tour, St. Issac's & Church of Our Savior on Spilled Blood will afford you views of the inside of these churches you will never forget.  Painted ceilings, walls of floor to ceiling paintings, a around every corner and turn will leave you speechless.

The Tram ride was a bit boring, going up one side of the street, turning, around and going back down the same street. Our guide seemed bored with her job with minimal enthusiasm.

By boat is the best way to see this beautiful city set across an archipelago of 14 islands. Your will skim the Baltic sea and enter the locs that regulate the Lake Malarens waters, passing Old Town, Stockholm Palace, Parliament House, and the Royal Swedish Opera.

A full day rail excursion to Voss will climb 3,000 feet, take you through 20 tunnels, over numerous bridges, and past beautiful waterfalls, ending in lunch at the famous Stalheim Hotel with veranda views of Naeroyfjord, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

We especially enjoyed being on a smaller cruise ship, with less people, which made the ease of departing and returning from shore excursions seamless.We were so very pleased with our daily shore excursion selections and ease in understanding our knowledgeable guides.
