We did a previous trip with Avalon and had a very good experience. They have a very good reputation and we wanted a cruise line that was rated better than the average line. Having three days in Budapest and four days in Prague allowed us to completely explore both cities on our own and with Avalon excursions.

The seven days on the river was a great way to connect the two cities with excellent shore excursions and beautiful scenery. The cabins were very comfortable with excellent beds. The French balconies allowed great views and the windows opened wide to bring in the outdoors. Our floor had a coffee bar and lounge at the back of the boat. This allowed us to get coffee on our own at anytime, read the morning news or just enjoy the views before heading off to breakfast. All meals were very good with specials offered for each meal. We especially liked the Octoberfest lunch and beer tasting. Everything on the trip was well done and well organized. Lastly, as on our previous Avalon trip the cruise director was excellent and went beyond what was expected.
