This was my first cruise and we had a few problems getting to Basel, Switzerland because of a cancelled flight, and our ship was unable to meet us at Basel, which required us to spend 2 days at a hotel, which resulted in our motor coaching to various sites. We boarded the ship on the third day and from that point we thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Special kudos to Diana, our Program Director and Nikola, our concierge for taking the initiative to meet us in Mulhouse and get us to the hotel in Basel. Viking does a tremendous job in taking care of all the passengers. The buses were comfortable that transported us to the various sites. The variety of things to do and see was very well planned, and we especially enjoyed all the castles and museums.

The dining choices were excellent, and the wait staff lots of fun. We usually tried to sit at Norvin and Job's station because they were great! Only problem with food was that we gained too much weight! All of the guides that escorted us in various locales were well-informed and easy to understand. They would make excellent sheep herders!

Looking forward to our next trip!!

I thought the cabin was well designed to provide efficiency and yet was extremely comfortable.
