We picked this cruise because it fit within our time frame and we were taking our teenage son and his friend for their first time cruise. This was not my husband's and my first cruise. I cannot tell you how EXTREMELY disappointed we all were.
Overall ship condition-this ship looks like it is ready to retire. It's overall condition is worn out and very dingy. We got the cheap rooms, thinking we wouldn't be in them very much. The room was clean as they could get it, but the shower bottoms were, rusted very badly. The buffet area was nasty. The floor was dirty, there were gnats all around the buffet. Especially, in the bread, meat and desert area. They were crawling on the bread and had to be shooed away!
Food-All I can say is awful. No variety on the buffet , very small desert choice and always the same thing. As a vegetarian, usually a buffet is easy to find a good variety. My choice was salad with gnats buzzing above or noodles and some type of Potato. The dining room food was quite disappointing also, though our servers were a delight. Pizza place was much like Dijornos frozen pizza. Johnny Rockets was truly our best meal, which we paid for along with yet another gratuity. Even our teenagers, who are not picky eaters were looking forward to getting off the ship and getting a good meal.
Rusty shower very dingy but clean
Booking it directly with Atlantis was cheaper. We took a cab from the port $16 for four of us (not each). We got there two hours before the excursion arrived and before the Water Park got crowded.
