This was my first cruise, but even the experienced cruisers praised Viking Star as their best cruise. The ship is new, modern and high class. The tours were also high quality in addition to the food and staff. It was mainly 65+ guests, with no children on board. So if you are younger it requires some patience and adjusting assumptions. But there were a few "younger" people traveling with parents and there are always a few 65+ people who like late night entertainment and drinks. We sailed around the Nordic sea, Bergen (three stops in Norway), Denmark, Germany, Poland, Estonia, Russia, Finland and ending in Sweden. The dining options were a good variety. We were on the third floor and had only two nights of special dining, but those were excellent. The restaurant and buffet area offer a wide range of options and we did not tired of those options either. I loved the accommodations and the staff was fabulously consistently kind and generous.

I would go back in an instant and dream of retiring on a Viking ship. Thank you Viking!

Cabin Review

I was traveling with my mother. They kindly split the beds so we each had a twin size bed. There was a small balcony with two chairs and table (very comfortable) even on the third floor. The room functioned very well with good closet space and very well organized bathroom. We were very impressed. The staff cleaned well daily with turn down service in the evenings. Excellent accommodations, plus many gorgeous areas of the ship to relax.
