Sailed on October 01, 2016 out of Port Canaveral. This was our seventh cruise with Carnival. We booked a suite (room 7234), so we had priority boarding. My husband and I took our 16-year-old daughter and her best friend. They were across the hall (interior room 7236). Since they are minors, but traveling with us, they also were given priority boarding. Our suite was spacious and very clean. The bathroom had double sinks and a whirlpool tub/shower combination. There was also a small dressing area with an extra closet. Our room steward was outstanding and kept our room neat and tidy. Our daughter's room was a standard inside cabin.

The ship was beautiful and clean. The food in the Northern Lights dining room was good and the service was good but sometimes a little slow. Guy's Burgers was outstanding as was the Blue Iguana burrito bar. The Lido Buffet food was hit or miss. The breakfast selection was good but the lunch and dinner options were lacking. The pizza was good but slow. Our daughter and her friend ordered room service a few times without problems. We did not eat at the steakhouse because they screwed up our reservation. We could have rescheduled but just never got around to it.

We purchased the "Cheers" beverage program ($804.00 which included gratuity) but did not get anywhere near our money's worth. The program now lets you get specialty coffee, non-alcoholic frozen drinks, bottled water, and soda in addition to your alcohol. However, if would have been cheaper for us to just pay for the drinks that we actually ordered. Bar service was poor at the Blue Iguana Bar and slow at the Red Frog Lido Bar. A couple of the bartenders at those bars seemed bothered that they had to get your drink. The service at the aft pool bar and the main lounge bar was good but sometimes slow because they just didn't have enough bartenders working. The bartenders at these bars were friendly and helpful.
