I went on this cruise to create new memories for myself. I was married, now I am divorced and I wanted to celebrate by going some place I had never been and experience this solo. Well the intentions were good, but Carnival and Mother Nature had a hard time working together to ensure everyone had a good cruise. 1st apparently October is hurricane season and we encountered or better put had our entire itinerary re-routed thanks to Hurricane Matthew. What sucks is my travel agent or Carnival money collector never mentioned to me that it was hurricane season and maybe I should be prepared for whatever. I still haven't received a call from her to ask how my cruise was or anything and I left her quite the message upon finding out my trip to the Bahamas had been re routed to Mexico of all places, which sucked because I had just left LA, who would fly from LA to Miami to go to Mexico? Umm No one in their right mind ever.
I started the cruise with a head ache and ended with one as well.
Next, is this the oldest ship in the fleet? OMGoodness, it was old, slightly rusted and even the inside of my suite was unimpressive, the drapes were old and discolored along with the carpet. I was trying to find the good in the suite but then used the bathroom and my sink was stopped up and then I started having my shyt attack. Thinking Carnival was cheap as hell and I just couldn't believe I spent $2500 to ride in this old pirate ship What the heck?
The cabin was very underwhelming, the drapes and carpet need immediate upgrades. My sink was clogging and draining slow. The best part of my room was the balcony because that is self explanatory, but I really do prefer my balcony over the water not over an area of the ship where guest actually walk below and can see me, this diminished my privacy greatly. To me the cabin or suite was actually just large enough for one person and would not have been comfortable for 2 people.
The actual experience in Miami was not terrible, I would go to Miami again.
