Cabin: Superior Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Overall we had an enjoyable time, this was our first time on Independence of the Seas. Our stateroom was lovely and kept spotlessly clean by our steward. The two ice shows were spectacular. The Grease production was very good.

One area that could be improved is the entertainment in the Pyramid Lounge, several times in the evenings we only had recorded music, probably because more emphasis was given to the "parties" on the Royal Promenade deck. My husband's disabilities makes attending these impossible as he is unable to stand (lack of seating) for any length of time and also very unsteady on his feet.

We split our dining between the MDR and The Windjammer. The food was better in the Windjammer but very busy at times so you had to search for seats. Perhaps this is because of the decline and choice in MDR.

Superior Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D2

A very clean and comfortable stateroom with a lovely balcony. The shower was always hot and powerful. It is small but this did not worry us. We returned on several evenings to towel animals.

Port Reviews

La Coruna

We decided to go on foot to local shop on port side but extremely dissapointed as shut at 11am Tuesday.

Vigo

We decided to look around this port on our own. It is very pretty and has a large shopping centre with coffee shops & restaurants all within two/three minutes walking distance from ship.
