Here is our review for our recently completed west med cruise on The Epic.

We are a uk couple, nearly 70, and have cruised twice before. Once 14 days in the Caribean with Thompson and once on NCL Spirit out of Barcelona to North Africa, Madeira, the Canaries, and Malaga. We enjoyed those two and decided to book The Epic. We booked in January with a company called flights and packages. The whole thing, with flights from Birmingham, two nights in Rome, three sets of transfers, inside cabin and the UBP thrown in, came to about £2K . I thought that was a good deal. After booking I started reading the reviews on cruise critic and was a little worried as many were bad. I even thought about cancelling. I’m so glad we didn’t as we had a great holiday. We flew to Rome where we had two nights in a decent hotel. If you want to read about our time in Rome go to TA Rome forum and see the post “We came to Rome Oct 2016”, by Trickster.

We were taxied to Civitechia and arrived about 12 noon. Embarkation was simple and we were soon on deck 15 sipping our first cocktails and having a snack from the buffet. The tanoy told us our cabin was ready and we went down to deck 11, midships. We were pleased with the cabin. The toilet/shower arrangement was no problem to us. Later in the cruise we looked at the outside cabin opposite and decided we would pay extra for that next time. The bed was very comfortable.
