Sail Date: Aug 2015

About 4 friends and I sailed the Sunshine to Nassau and Freeport Bahamas in August 2015. I've been reading a lot of bad reviews regarding Carnival boats, so I decided to give mine. I have only cruised 3x and they have all been Carnival, because that is all we can afford. I have never had a problem with any service , food ect. Of course things may need to be changed, but you get what you pay for. If you are looking for luxury, then book a luxury cruise line, if you are looking for an affordable good time, a clean room to put your head down and great food, then book Carnival. I mean, how much do you expect to get for a $330.00 cruise, including all you can eat, entertainment , and port of calls?--Anyway , back to my review--We stayed in a stateroom, which was small, but enough drawers/closet space and a safe for belongings. They stewards were really nice and constantly cleaning our rooms and putting out the cute towel animals they made. We were bottom level, but there were plenty of elevators to get to different floors. They bars were nice and casino was fun. They had plenty of casino game contest that people were joining. All the workers from all levels were so friendly and nice. The food was so good. A lot of selections to choose from including asian and mexican food. The dinners in the dining room where a real treat, because the food was great and the waiters were funny and awesome. One of my complaints is the entertainment--I wish they had extra time slots for some of the shows because some activities overlapped each other. Yes some of the decor was a little tacky, but who cares--Im there to have fun and Carnival delivered .

Port Reviews

Nassau

really good time--lots of shopping--I stayed clear of the "straw markets" as the vendors dont give you a time to even look at there wares without pressuring you to buy something overpriced that you can find in the dollar tree back home---Definitely check out the pirate museum --lots of fun, and real artificats from the age of piracy--nice beach areas to lie around and enjoy

Freeport

nice shopping areas, lot of local vendors selling food for a good price-nice beach areas--we went to the junkanoo beach resort--only $3 to get in--onsite clean bathrooms/showers and restaurant--definitely recommend
