First time cruising with Princess (have only been on Holland America prior) and I was very impressed. All aspects were great - staff, selection of activities, food - and would definitely cruise with Princess again. A friend did all the planning and all I had to do was show up.....and of course pay my half! We opted to rent a car in each port rather than book through Princess. We saved money and had a lot of fun taking wrong turns and finding new places on the Hawaiian islands to explore. With five days at sea going and returning from Hawaii I thought the staff did a wonderful job entertaining everyone. There was lots of Trivia, Hawaiian crafts, Karaoke, pool games and we even celebrated Oktoberfest one day. I was impressed with how clean the ship was - my cabin, public washrooms, pool decks, food areas etc. Looking forward to my next experience with Princess.

Room enough for two women and all our shoes! Really liked the closet space too.

Very efficient registering people and getting everyone to where they needed to go.
Hilo
We rented a car and the shuttle was at the port waiting for us. Very easy to get around on the Big Island.
Honolulu
We rented a car and the shuttle arrived within 30 minutes of the ship arriving. Really liked the port being so close to the city centre. Almost didn't need a car as we could have walked to many fascinating sights.
Kauai
We rented a car and the shuttle was within 20 minutes of our disembarking the ship. Easy to drive around on the island and very nice people.
Maui
We rented a car and didn't know there were two airports on Maui! Our car was waiting for us at the "big" airport without shuttle service. Be sure to confirm which airport your car is, if renting one. The tender service was very prompt and we didn't have to wait more than 10 minutes for the next one. The tenders were a bit bumpy....which only added to the trip!
