Wanted o try Royal Carribean. It's like all things, you get what you pay for. Too many children, too many people for the size of the ship. Very small rooms with paper thin walls. We could hear everything that went on in the rooms on either side of us. There was music playing everywhere. No place to quietly sit and read, not even the library.
The very first day they send everyone to the Windjammer for lunch. It was an unorganized mess. Twice as many people as there should have been. No where to sit. Lots of bad buffet food. I never wanted to go in there again. No one to help find your way around, even when you said you have never been on their ships before. Other ships open their dining rooms at lunch. Much better.
Let's not over look the size of the bathroom. Wish I'd taken a picture. It was about 2x3 feet. I am 5'2" about 130 and that shower was claustrophobic for me. Cannot imagine any one taller in there. There was no door on it, just a curtain so water got on the floor.
We did not get to pick our stateroom. Barely enough room for 2 people and two folded up beds above our heads. Not sure what that was about. We had to crawl out the bottom of the bed to get out. Can't imagine any one sleeping up there they knew we were 2 older adults. It would be claustrophobic. No closet space once the luggage was stored. Only 6 coat hangers and one of those was broken. 6 tiny drawers for 2 of us. Good thing it was only 5 days. No where to sit other than the bed. We tried to upgrade and got nowhere with that. We cruise a lot and they were not very accommodating. You think they would want to help out first time people on their ships. Terrible room. Paper thin walls. Could here couple next door having sex.
