Overall we had a very good cruise. There were a few things that could have been better. We arrived the day before the cruise and stayed at the Quality Inn, Seattle Center. This was an older hotel and it showed its age, but it was the only place that we could get a transfer from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the pier at a reasonable price. We used Speedy Shuttle. They were there on time and everything was handled very well.
Overall, the food was very good and was cooked as we requested. The variety of food in the main dining at night was very good, but the breakfast and lunch menus got a bit repetitive.
The situation with the lounges at night needs to be worked out. The concierge lounge on deck 9 was packed and the Diamond lounge on 14 was also packed. The servers did a great job in trying to get everybody served, but there needs to be a better system when there are over 800 people on board who are Diamond or Diamond Plus or Pinnacle.
Cabin ready at 1:00 and room steward had delivered our water and wine (we are diamond plus). He kept the cabin clean and refreshed and was very friendly and helpful and always called us by name. His name was Made Darmka and he was great. The bed was hard as a dining room table and we asked for a foam topper. Evidently, they no longer have them. We used extra pillows for softness.
