We traveled via Eurostar and TGV to Barcelona from London and had 2 nights in Barcelona before boarding Carnival Vista. We purchased Hop on Hop Off Turisme bus tickets for our day in Barcelona and traveled the whole of all 3 routes in the day, jumping off at various points. Barcelona is a wonderful city and we hope to return sometime to do it more justice than you can possibly do in a day.

Embarkation and Debarkation was absolutely superb. We had been robbed on our journey in Paris and had no boarding passes or luggage tags. This was no problem and the staff handled it professionally and politely, and we were not delayed at all in boarding.

The ship is huge and the facilities, cabin and bathroom superb. Personally I found the Atruim disappointing, but my other half liked it. We rarely had problems with the lifts, of course there were delays at busy times, but these were not excessive, and the ship rarely seemed overcrowded wherever you went. One criticism was the lack of encouragement to use the sanitising gel. On Norweigian staff were virtually spraying it on your hands as you went past them, but on this ship no encouragement whatsoever. I finished the cruise with a bug, but can't say it was down to the ship, but this aspect does warrant improvement.

Cabin 8A

Spacious, comfortable, king size bed, lovely bathroom, nice balcony and good service from the cabin steward.

Port Reviews

Barcelona

Traveled all 3 routes on the Hop on Hop off Bus. A fabulous city that needs more than one day to explore.
