We choose RCCL as this was always our favorite cruise lines after doing 16 previous cruises with several other cruise lines. Well needless to say we were extremely disappointed for a number of reasons. First off, the only choice for news is CNN, there is no option for Fox News. Someone needs to inform RCCL is the most watched news service. I workout every morning and use the treadmill time to catch up on news items, well there are no TV's on the treadmills and 1-2 TV's in the entire gym. The entire cruise was geared towards Puerto Ric-an clientele and most competitions were Puerto Rico against the US, well the last I checked PR was considered part of the US and believe we just bailed out their government a couple months ago. There was a lot of rudeness of certain clientele on the ship. This was not something just we noticed as it was discussed by several people during the week cruise. The food in the buffet was a disappointment, we always told people the food on RCCL was better than others however I thing Carnival has edged up above Carnival. The buffet selection was the same for lunch and dinner every day and got old after the 3rd day. The food in the formal dining room was very good and high quality but we don't like to go formal every night. Breakfast was mediocre at best, grapefruit dried out daily, no eggs Benedict and long lines at omelette station. It has been about 14 yrs since our last RCCL cruise so much has changed, the past 5 years we have been doing 2 cruises a year and will probably shy away from RCCL any time soon.
