First off, I want to say. we enjoyed the cruise but with any cruise there are pros and cons. start off the pros. The ship was relatively clean and all the crew were mostly helpful and polite. The stewards and those in house cleaning were very nice. Our house keeper would mention us by name as we passed in the hall..(Hello Mr. John and Mrs. Jennifer) with a smile. Room was always clean and stocked with fresh towels and water if needed. The dinner service was great. after the first seating, the wait staff knew our names , what kind of drinks we liked and bread we liked with the meal and were also very pleasant. Food was good but not always the same if you ordered the same as before.. for example. I ordered the house salad every night we were there but it was a little different each night. One night there were croutons, next night there were none ..one night there was blue cheese in it, so I did a lot of picking out stuff..lol. for the most part the food was good. Guys burger joint was awesome. best food on the ship. Room service was awesome too. You could order from a menu on the tv and within 10 mins. it was there and very good also. The buffet was ok. wasn't the best food but wasn't too bad. The pizza was also very good. The entertainment was good. but the star of the ship was the cruise director Rev. Dr.E. He did an outstanding job keeping the guest entertained during the cruise. two thumbs up. we spent a lot of time either on out balcony or at the Solarium. Only comment there was it was a little noisy from aloud motor noise, and a pool there just for adults would be nice , but it wasn't a bad relaxing time there.

Now the cons. With all the elevators there, most of the time a small number of them were not available so there were lots of wait times that going from floor too floor was faster using the stairs. If you are a big soda drinker and you have the drink package, the only way you can get a soft drink is at the bar and then you have too wait and sign and leave a tip. RC was better cause you had soft drink dispensers all over and you could drink till your hearts content with a approved glass. Didn't drink a lot of sodas. You have an ID card you use to get on and off the ship, but you have to use the same card to turn on the lights in your cabin, to get a towel at the pool , to buy anything on ship including your soft drinks. They don't use money on ship. You have to load funds on the card to use on board. the shopping area or as they call..THE FUN SHOPS consist of three shops, souvenirs, jewelry, and a candy shop. Fun shops?...nahhh. There's an Italian restaurant above the lido buffet, The food there was way too salty. thank god lunch was free cause we couldn't eat it all. First 2 The Fun status has its limits. They tell you you can get on board and to your room as soon as you are on board...mmmmm no. you have too wait like everyone else. you do get into the short line at guest services. but that's about it. NOW, the worse part of the whole cruise was the embarkation......two words..TOTAL KAOS. I understand we had too wait 7 hrs cause the port was closed due too hurricane Mathew damage assessment but there was total lack of communication to get everyone off. Faster 2 the fun status doesn't help either. Had too carry 4 pieces of luggage down 5 flights of stairs. wow. other than that. the trip on board was pretty good

Cabin Review

Premium Vista Balcony

Cabin 9C

We had a Premium vista balcony suite. the room was a little small. The bed took up most of the room. you had to walk sideways to get from one side to the other, But the room itself was comfortable and quiet for the most part. Every now and then you do hear others moving balcony chairs and an occasional bump and grind of the ship. Wasn't enough to bother you. You feel a gentle rock and roll of the ship. Also not a problem. When you go out on the balcony, you can smell from time too time the smell of bacon or something like that cooking. Not anything offensive. My only complaint is the tv was too dark to watch during the day, and couple of the channels didn't aire all the time and the movie channel played the same couple of movies all the time. All in all, the room wasn't bad and very relaxing most of the time.
