I choose this cruise because I wanted a shorter cruise for my girls(daughter and 2 grand daughters, ages 13 and 6), one that would involve a flight (a test for the youngest, to see how she would do on a plane), and it had a stop at Key West. This sailing also offered 3 ports, one each day which a lot of shorter cruises don't offer. I personally liked that it did not go to the Western ports but stayed in the Bahamas.

We left home early, 4AM, for the airport. The check-in was smooth. Flight was good (6 yr old was good). We flew into FLL and had a driver (Howard's) take us to Port of Miami. Using a driver was less than the ship transfers and was personal and quick...no wait to get a filled bus. There were no issues getting on ship. All went well. (Diamond level C&A) but I saw no extremely long lines and everyone was very helpful.

We ate lunch in WindJammer, one of us grabbed a table while the others went to get food. No big deal with tables. There were plenty of clean ones maybe, not the first place you looked but always one available. Note: there were 4 of us so we needed a larger table, not one for 2, and the entire cruise we never had a problem finding a table. Lunch offered a lot of choices and we were hungry, last ate a pastry and coffee/milk at airport.

Cabin Review

Large Inside Stateroom

Cabin K

Aft, deck 7, larger IS but still small. We decided we didn't need much cabin space and were OK with this cabin. Yes I would have enjoyed a larger one but air fare took a chunk out of our budget. Really, we only showered, changed and slept in the cabin. We enjoyed the darkness of the IS cabin. We just used the wake up call each day to get us up and moving in time for breakfast.
